For more than two decades, Gary Good has been guiding people into the wild places of Southern Africa.
An accredited Adventure Guide with a lifelong passion for nature, Gary brings together deep knowledge of the natural world with a curiosity about what it means to be human.
His formal studies in Earth Sciences have given him a rich understanding of the geology, geography, flora and fauna of this extraordinary region. But his greatest education has come through years of paying attention: observing landscapes, animals, people and the subtle phenomena that unfold when we step away from the familiar.
More than an adventure
For Gary, being in nature is not simply about reaching a destination or ticking an experience off a list.
It is about slowing down. Paying attention. Becoming curious.
It is about experiencing the natural world with greater awareness—and discovering what becomes possible when we create space to listen, observe and connect.
Alongside his work as an adventure guide, Gary has been a longstanding student of Vedanta philosophy and Mindfulness Meditation, traditions that have deepened his exploration of awareness, presence and our relationship with the world around us.
He is currently under the close mentorship of Niall Campbell, indigenous healer and facilitator of men’s work, continuing his exploration of indigenous wisdom, personal development and meaningful work with men.
